Nicola N. Buffa, Artist, age 30, was trained as a printmaker during her education at the University of California, Santa Cruz; her work incorporates varied print mediums and makes use of the multiple original. Many of her works have served as research into feminine consciousness as influenced by her education in psychology, and are frequently based on personal narratives. Influences on Nicola’s work include Surrealist images, sculptures, & writings, Dadaism, German Expressionism, American Assemblage, and 20th century psychological and feminist theories.

Facilitated by an MFA education at the California College of the Arts, San Francisco, she developed an interdisciplinary practice, integrating other mediums such as sewing, performance, and sculpture. More recently her artistic research has expanded into Fifth-Dimension consciousness and Quantum states, that is to say, the presence of a conscious mind in more than one time-space at any given time.

Nicola Buffa is a native Californian, now living and working in San Francisco. Apart from making art, Nicola’s interests include dance, meditation, studying the tarot & divination, as well as energetic healing and transmutation.
